PRICE is Right host Drew Carey was left stunned after a contestant won thousands in the “hardest” and “most-hated” segment of the show.

The famous game show returned to CBS last month and was back for another episode last night.

However, host Drew was left with his jaw dropped when contestant Paris won a huge pile of cash on the dreaded Time is Money game.

The game sees the contestant shown five grocery items, and they are given just ten seconds to place each of the items on one of the three shelves based on their prices.

Last night, saw Paris compete in Time is Money, but fail in the first round.

Due to the game being notoriously hard, he was given a second shot.

This saw him rearrange the items, while the prize pot went down until he got the right prices.

However, host Drew was left stunned when he scooped $8K before the jackpot hit zero.

Despite Paris’ big win, some fans took to social media to slam how difficult bosses have made the game – after reducing the time from 20 seconds to ten.

One commented, “This game is virtually impossible to win. I think I have seen one or two people EVER win.”

While this one added, “First time I ever seen someone win this game, it’s uber difficult!”

Another said, “It’s been a long time since I seen somebody win this game and $8000 A Real Nice Win!”

COMING UP THIS SEASON

Before the new series of The Price is Right kicked off last month, CBS revealed what would be in store this season.

A commemorative 10,000th episode will air in February 2025.

There will also be specially-themed holiday episodes and a “redemption episode,” in which former contestants compete for another chance at major prizes.

Additionally, the season will commemorate James O’Halloran’s 10th anniversary on the show, after the model joined in 2014.

SCHEDULE CHANGE BACKLASH

Fans also recently complained about the schedule change for the new season after it was revealed that nighttime episodes would be moved from Wednesdays to Mondays.

The switch raised concerns that Monday Night Football would affect future episodes due to frequent delays and overtime.

The Price is Right again faced backlash when the show didn’t acknowledge the one-year anniversary of its former host Bob Barker’s death on its social media accounts.

Bob died on August 26, 2023, at 99 years old.

He hosted the show for 35 years before retiring in 2008 and passing his microphone to Drew.
