With the departure of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese from the women’s basketball game, there is a huge vacuum of who might be the next star, and it appears social media is seemingly riding with Maddie Scherr.

Scherr, a women’s college basketball guard at TCU, has the chance to be one of the sport’s faces now that she will be alongside Hailey Van Lith, who transferred there this offseason.

Maddie Scherr is going incredibly viral this week after she took to her Instagram and posted a picture of herself busting out of her bikini.

Coming out of high school, Scherr was the 2020 Miss Kentucky Basketball and was highly regarded as one of the best prospects in the nation.

Maddie Scherr committed to Oregon, where she would spend two seasons before transferring to Kentucky to play for Kyra Elzy and her home state Wildcats.

After two seasons there, Scherr transferred again and will now star at TCU.

The former Kentucky star played and started in 55 games. In her junior year, Scherr averaged 11.6 points per game, 5.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game, all of which were team highs.

During the 2023-2024 season, Scherr averaged a career-high 12.5 points per game and a team-best 3.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game, per her stats on ESPN.

Unfortunately for her, she would be forced to miss Kentucky’s two games in the 2024 SEC Tournament due to a concussion.

Maddie Scherr Has The Talent To Be Drafted Into The WNBA

Caitlin Clark was the most hyped rookie to arrive in the league for some time, and she delivered in every way possible.

Next season, UConn’s Paige Bueckers might be talked about in the same way, but Maddie Scherr shouldn’t be ignored.

Scherr decided to enter the transfer portal this offseason and now will play her final season for TCU.

In 55 games with the Wildcats, she averaged 12.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists.

She is more than a scorer; she is a strong defender who can be an effective two-way wing for any team in the league.

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has taken a swipe at pop sensation Taylor Swift for political reasons ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.

The 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is known to be a supporter of former President Donald Trump and has previously endorsed him.

He’s since taken a shot at Swift, who recently endorsed Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris following Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes informing everyone that he wouldn’t endorse a candidate.

“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote in a tweet.

“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
