Cameras Caught Luka Doncic's Lighthearted Moment When Photographer Asked Him To Pose For A Candid PictureLuka Doncic (Image Source: X/@Overtime)
While on a China promotional tour for the Jordan brand, Luka Doncic experienced a humorous event. The videographer requested Paolo Banchero, Jayson Tatum, and Zion Williamson to gaze wherever they were touring the Great Wall of China. Doncic looked to the area behind him and turned his back to the camera, taking this literally.

All the people on the shoot started laughing immediately, mostly Zion Williamson. Given that Doncic and the other Jordan brand athletes will be fighting against one another in a few months, seeing them having fun on their promotional trip to China was encouraging.

Doncic performed admirably in the series despite the defeat and plans to return to the NBA Finals the following year. He will have additional assistance because the Mavericks signed Klay Thompson in the summer, greatly enhancing their squad. Thompson will provide much-needed postseason experience to this inexperienced Mavericks team.

It seems likely that this was Doncic’s first encounter with Jayson Tatum since their NBA Finals matchup. Tatum prevailed in that matchup, defeating the Mavericks handily in five games to capture the NBA title with the Celtics.

Luka Doncic Is Among The Favorites To Claim The MVP Title Next Season

Luka Doncic is a consistent MVP candidate and one of the finest players in the league right now. Despite his excellent individual accomplishments over the past several seasons, He has failed to earn the award. Many fans anticipate that next season will be the year he finally does.

Doncic enjoyed a fantastic campaign with the Mavericks the previous season, averaging 33.9 points, 9.8 assists, and 9.2 rebounds. He led the NBA in scoring throughout the season and was close to averaging a triple-double. Doncic was included for the sixth year on the All-NBA First Team.

He did, however, come in third in the MVP vote, just behind Nikola Jokic, the ultimate victor, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the runner-up. Luka Doncic, though, has his sights set on exacting revenge for the Mavericks’ NBA Finals defeat. To even have a shot at it, the Mavericks will need to perform very well in the postseason—especially given how packed the Western Conference is the following season.
