On Sunday, Detriot Lions superstar defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson suffered a gruesome lower leg injury that required him to be carted off the field.

He suffered the injury while bringing quarterback Dak Prescott down for a sack, and he immediately knew something was wrong.

Most of the Eagles from the injury don’t make the severity obvious, but a few new looks put everything into perspective.

In the photos, Hutchinson’s leg snaps and wraps around a fellow defensive player, which is a hard sight to see.

Fans Cannot Believe Aidan Hutchinson’s Injury

“I don’t care how long it takes, I just want him to get better…..for him! Nothing but love for the best pure DE I ever seen, best leader, best person….’” said one comment.

“You don’t feel this at all at first..legs numb. But the next day will have crying to your mother. Fib/tib broken,” said another.

“I just ate man… Nauseating…,” added a third.

JJ Watt’s Reaction To Superstar Aidan Hutchinson’s Gruesome Leg Injury vs. The Cowboys Will Break Your Heart

On Sunday, the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys squared off in a match that should have been between two NFC heavyweights. At the start of the fourth, the Lions were up 37-9, but it’s not all good news for the team after what happened to Aidan Hutchinson.

While sacking quarterback Dak Prescott, Hutchinson suffered a horrible leg injury that required him to be carted off the field. It’s speculated that a tibia and fibula break will sideline him for the rest of the year.

Future Hall of Fame defensive end JJ Watt tweeted about the situation.

Watt is right about the horrible injury.

Hutchinson has been a great young player for the emerging Lions, and his loss will be felt both on and off the field.

Hutchinson was certainly on pace to make another Pro Bowl in 2024 after one of the best starts to a season in his career.

Through the season’s first four games, he had 16 tackles, six tackles for loss, 14 quarterback hits, and a league-leading six-and-a-half sacks.

His numbers, as of now, should have also put him in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year, but that will all now be derailed.

Aidan Hutchinson Is Likely Done For The Year

Though it hasn’t been confirmed, the chances of Hutchinson’s season being over are highly likely.

If it is true that he broke his tibia and fibula, that is almost a certainty. According to Cleveland Clinic, a few months is the average recovery time for such an injury.

Of course, that’s just for normal people, not athletes who must return to performing extremely physical activities.

You can be confident that the Lions wouldn’t want to rush his return.
