Breaking News Update: Jack Black Loses Nearly $15 Million in Concert Tours After He Went Woke
Looks like Jack Black’s mouth got him into hot water – and lost him a pretty penny! The actor’s anti-Trump comments have tanked his concert ticket sales, leaving him $15 million in the red. Who knew being a Trump critic could be so costly?
Jack Black, beloved actor and frontman of Tenacious D has taken a financial hit to the tune of nearly $15 million. And why? All because of a controversial comment made by his bandmate, Kyle Gass, about Donald Trump.
In the Sydney concert, a shocking remark was made by Kyle Gass, who wished that some future assassin wouldn’t have to miss his target on Trump. Boy, oh boy! And as expected, this led to an outrage among the fans and reduced ticket sales at once. Poor Jack had to cancel the rest of his tour and disassociate himself from the explosive comment.
This tirade of blacks against Trump was supposed to be a mic-drop moment, but it turned out to be a flop of epic proportions. Perhaps next time, he will think twice before opening his mouth wide enough for foot insertion. They say “Loose lips sink ships”–and band tours, too.
But let’s face it, Black’s comments were hardly revolutionary. Criticizing Trump in Hollywood is like wearing something trendy on the red carpet. It’s a sure bet, but not exactly new.
Despite all this, his fans have penalized him for that one statement. Why? Nowadays, you can pay heavily for speaking your mind in such politically divided environments like ours today unless you are Kardashian, who can say whatever you want and still get paid millions of dollars even if it is absolute nonsense or off-topic.
All joking aside, it’s clear that Black underestimated the power of Trump’s base. They may not be the most discerning crowd, but they’re loyal – and they won’t hesitate to boycott a celebrity who dissents from their so-called dear leader.
So, will Black bounce back from this financial fiasco? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure – he won’t be winning any fans among Trump supporters anytime soon. That ship has sailed – and sunk.
In the meantime, Trump’s probably tweeting about this, saying something like, “Jack Black’s failing concert tour is a total disaster – just like his career! Sad!”
Ouch, that’s gotta hurt. Guess you could say Black’s comments were a major faux pas. Looks like he won’t be winning any awards for “Most Diplomatic” anytime soon.
But, at least Black can take comfort in knowing he’s not alone. There’s a whole club of celebrities who’ve suffered the wrath of Trump’s base – just ask Colin Kaepernick or Kathy Griffin about that.
As for Jack Black, let’s hope this rocky chapter doesn’t keep him down for long. In the grand theater of American politics, this episode is just another act. But for the Democrats, the lesson is clear: adapt or be left behind.
Stay tuned, folks. The show is far from over!
