SUMMARY

The One Piece pre-time skip saga is one of the most cherished and unforgettable parts of the series, beloved for its humor and character development.
Toei made a major blunder by featuring two Zoros in one scene, a mistake that didn’t go unnoticed by the fans.
Fans responded with hilarious and creative reactions, turning the blunder into a fun and memorable moment in One Piece history.

One Piece is one of the most beloved and instantly recognizable manga and anime series ever made. Through Luffy’s journey to become the Future Pirate King, Oda-sensei narrates an epic tale of friendship and adventure, captivating fans for over 25 years without leaving a single moment of boredom.

Even with 1,100 episodes in, Luffy fans aren’t tired of following the adventures of this young and enthusiastic boy. Indeed, a wave of disappointment spread worldwide as Toei announced a six-month hiatus in the broadcasting of the One Piece: Egghead Island arc.

While fans eagerly await the return of the Straw Hat Pirates in April 2025, it also gives them time to reflect on the crew’s journey and how far One Piece has come since the beginning.

Nevertheless, One Piece‘s pre-time skip moments are greatly cherished by fans, though Toei mistakenly featured two identical Zoros in a single scene, a detail the studio likely hoped would go unnoticed but didn’t escape keen-eyed viewers.

Two Zoros to the rescue: The epic One Piece Pre-Time Skip moment that sparked hilarious fan reactions

It’s remarkable that even with 1,100 episodes in, Eiichiro Oda‘s One Piece continues to push boundaries, promising fans an even better and more cinematic experience ahead. Oda-sensei has brilliantly crafted each member of the Straw Hat crew, earning immense praise as every character becomes a fan favorite in their own right.

Undoubtedly, Monkey D. Luffy played a crucial role in One Piece‘s immense popularity, but it’s clear that each member adds their own charm to the series, with Zoro standing out as the most prominent after Luffy.

Over the years, Oda-sensei has crafted countless tales of Luffy’s adventures, each with its own distinct appeal. Yet, many fans believe the pre-time skip era holds a special charm, one that feels incomplete and leaves a sense of longing.

The pre-time skip saga represents the period where the Straw Hats experienced the most growth, coming together and uniting as a pirate crew. In contrast, the post-time-skip era delves much deeper into the world of One Piece.

The pre-time skip saga is immensely cherished for its humor and quirky animation, though Toei had its occasional stumbles in the series’ early days. However, one particular moment didn’t escape the keen eyes of Zoro enthusiasts.

During the Straw Hats’ journey to Alabasta and their clashes with Baroque Works, one iconic scene highlights Luffy’s over-the-top antics as he gets attacked by the enemy. As usual, Zoro steps in to save him, but Toei makes a major blunder in the process.

In the scene, fans spot two identical Zoros: one rescuing Luffy and the other reacting to Luffy’s hilariously clueless moment, where he falls for an obvious trick and gets completely outsmarted—a classic comedic highlight from our beloved protagonist.

Despite Toei’s major blunder, the fandom embraced it with humor, sparking hilarious reactions that made the scene even more iconic and unforgettable.

One of the elements that One Piece‘s most powerful pirate crews have in common is that its members are a family more than a team. The Straw Hats are the embodiment of this ideal, as those who sail under Luffy’s flag are more than just comrades.

Despite the long list of 1000+ episodes or chapters, Oda-sensei has yet to unveil several mysteries of the One Piece world. While Imu’s identity and Red-Haired Shanks’ true plan remain a mystery, the legendary mangaka is finally shedding light on the mysteries of the Void Century from 800 years ago.

One Piece Theory: Imu is Nefertari Lily from the Void Century

While Oda-sensei has remained secretive about the King of the World’s identity, there are tons of rumors connecting Imu to Nefertari Lily, the queen who disappeared after the Void Century.

By far, Imu’s identity remains one of the greatest mysteries, and many fans, including me, are eagerly awaiting Oda-sensei to drop more hints about this character.

We already know that the famous One Piece treasure is connected to the mysterious figure from the Forgotten Void Century, Joyboy. Joyboy, who was the previous user of Luffy’s Devil Fruit, lost to Imu 800 years ago, establishing Imu as one of the most evil and greatest antagonists in the series.

Unlike the other 19 kings who founded the World Government, Lily did not leave her sword at the Empty Throne. This could mean that Queen Lily didn’t submit to the alliance and joined forces with Joyboy betraying Imu’s trust.

Not to forget, the presence of Lily’s flowers in Imu’s private chamber seems to offer another hint between Imu and Lily, possibly pointing to their shared past.
