In the aftermath of last month’s presidential debate, ABC News has caught significant backlash after the apparent bias displayed by the moderators. However, following the controversial debate between former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, reports indicate that ratings at ABC have suffered.
During the event, the moderators, David Muir and Linsay Davis, received immense criticism for their incessant fact-checking of former President Trump, where they interjected multiple times to correct the Republican candidate’s statements. Ironically, many of Trump’s remarks were proven to be correct, vindicating him. Furthermore, the moderators never stepped in to fact-check Kamala Harris, making the debate seem like a 3-on-1 attack against Trump.
Sortor continued, pointing out that Americans have grown tired of the undeniable bias against Trump and the Republican Party. “The American people saw the media bias that night, and they’re FED UP. Now, Muir is on a damage control tour to defend his reputation. He’s feeling the heat!’ he added. Other users commented in agreement under Sortor’s post.
Conservative commentator Chuck Callesto added, “Did they think the American people were not paying attention to this sort of thing?” Sortor added in another comment, “They thought they were going to get away with blatantly lying to you on a grand stage. Because they usually do.” He continued, “He’s a democrat mouthpiece pretending to be a “journalist”.”
“Maybe he should stick to reporting the news instead of making it!” another person said. One user commented, “The majority of American ppl are tired of being lied to & manipulated by MSM, including @ABC & so-called journalists like @DavidMuir. We’re intelligent, informed, and capable of seeing through their bias. They are choosing their own path of irrelevancy & it’s no loss for us.”
“It was absolutely egregious how they created a complete ambush to hurt Trump, thereby hurting middle America and trying to prop Kamela,” one person weighed in. “Maybe these actors posing as journalists should go into movies and make room for real journalists,” another added.
“It shows you what kind of echo chamber they exist in. He has no idea what the country is actually feeling. Just another talking head, reading lines being fed to him,” another user wrote. One user commented, “No one should ever underestimate how biased these media personalities are. But remember always they had help. This is a group activity and the whole ABC media empire is a part of this crooked action.”
