At just 22 years old and just one season into her WNBA career, Caitlin Clark is already building an impressive legacy in women’s basketball. She’s shining a spotlight on the WNBA and the NCAA, where many young players aspire to emulate or surpass her success. Although Clark never won a college championship and lost two finals, she became the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer in both men’s and women’s basketball at Iowa last year, essentially paving the way for players like Paige Bueckers and Juju Watkins to follow.
Juju Watkins as a Laker
Speaking of Watkins, the 19-year-old has become a women’s college basketball superstar in her own right. Today marks the debut of the six-episode docuseries “On the Rise: JuJu Watkins” on NBC and Peacock. While I’ll get into that later, one detail that stands out is a photo shared by the Los Angeles Lakers of Watkins in the team’s new “City Edition” uniform. Born and raised in Los Angeles, this may not come as a surprise, but it could hint at her future in the WNBA. When her time comes, it wouldn’t be shocking to see her play with Cameron Brink in the Los Angeles Sparks and stay in California.

The 19-year-old showed her all-around talent last season, averaging 27.1 points on 40.1% shooting, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.6 blocks per game. If she continues at this pace, she will very likely break Clark’s scoring record. With at least two years left at USC, there’s plenty of time to see if she can do what Clark couldn’t – win a national championship. Let’s give it time, but her career looks promising and she is truely being well advised.

This season, Watkins has USC undefeated and looking like a serious contender to make a deep run in March. Nothing would be more exciting than a potential showdown with Paige Buckers before the UConn star heads to the WNBA as the probable first pick of the next WNBA Draft. But first they have to get through the tough test they have today at 4:00 PM EST against Notre Dame and Hannah Hidalgo. Hidalgo and Watkins could create a rivalry like Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, as both are excellent players and will be competing against each other at least this year and next.

PHOTOS: Everyone Was Saying The Same Thing About The Jaw-Dropping Hockey Fan Who Was Distracting The Crowd At Leafs-Devils Game

A photo of a female hockey fan who was busting out of her jeans at a Leafs-Devils game in early 2024 has gone viral online again.
Said supporter was pictured in the stands wearing a Devils Jack Hughes jersey, but that was probably the least interesting thing about her as a lower body part caused her to trend on X.
A new set of photos of her showing her assets off has popped up online ahead of the weekend, with one of the accounts posting asking, “Are you a hockey fan?”
