The Oklahoma City Thunder have kicked off their season with an impressive 7-1 record, securing the second spot in the Western Conference. This young Thunder roster has not only surprised fans but also caught the attention of former NBA stars, including Gilbert Arenas.

On a recent episode of Gil’s Arena, Arenas compared the current Thunder team favorably to the Thunder’s 2012 lineup, featuring stars like Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden. He also mentioned some of Thunder’s key additions, including Alex Caruso, who he believes is shaping this team into something special.

This is a better team than the 2012 team. The 2012 had better players. This is a better team. With the addition of Crusoe and yeah. Yeah. This is young James where he’s trying to get the year old, trying to get all those fouls,” Arenas said.

“That means you have the cash, the talent, and you got gold backing you with those picks. If you don’t win the championship in the next six years, that’s a problem then,” he added.

Fans React To Gilbert Arenas’ Bold Take On The Current OKC

Gilbert Arenas, who claimed Joel Embiid is probably the best NBA player, has sparked a lively debate with his recent comments comparing today’s Thunder team to the 2012 OKC squad. After watching the Thunder dominate in preseason with a 4-1 record and start the regular season strong, some fans are already on board with Arenas’ assessment.

The Thunder’s preseason success, along with their continued winning streak early in the season, has convinced certain fans that this team has the skill, cohesion, and depth to make a name for themselves. They are optimistic about what lies ahead for this promising lineup.

However, Arenas’ remarks have not been without criticism. Skeptics argue that it’s too early to draw comparisons to a team that reached the NBA Finals. Critics say Arenas should let this Thunder squad finish the season strong before making claims about their greatness. Some believe that only a championship win would validate Arenas’ viewpoint.

Whether or not Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren’s Oklahoma City Thunder reach the heights of the 2012 squad remains to be seen.

Tom Brady may be reined in by FOX Sports following his awkward comment about Matt LaFleur that had the internet in stitches.

The former NFL quarterback called Sunday’s game between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions and liked what he saw where Green Bay’s head coach was concerned as he waxed lyrical over the 45-year-old Michigan native.

“Look at that perfect little moustache, goatee that he’s got,” Brady said right before a third-and-three. “We can’t see his hair today. But I was so impressed when I saw him in the tunnel, such a handsome guy. he said he spends $100 a week to keep himself looking like that.”

Kevin Burkhardt, his booth partner, could only offer a “Wow.”
