San Francisco, CA – 49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan has strongly condemned the officiating in today’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, calling for the game’s cancellation and disqualification.
Shanahan’s Statement:
“The refereeing was atrocious. We demand a full investigation and cancellation of this tainted game.”
Shanahan cited:
1. Disputed pass interference calls
2. Questionable holding penalties
NFL : “We take Coach Shanahan’s concerns seriously. Our officials will review the game footage and address these issues.”
Chiefs’ : “We respect the officials’ decisions. We won fair and square,” said Chiefs’ Head Coach Andy Reid.
