Leanna Lenee, the fiancée of Colorado Buffaloes two-way star and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, has addressed the disturbing online hate she’s been receiving from trolls over the past 48 or so hours.
Travis Hunter was named the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner after a historic season in Boulder. Unfortunately, Hunter and Lenee haven’t been able to fully enjoy the special honors because of the rapidly increasing criticism from online trolls.
For instance, fans accused her of berating Hunter when he was seen celebrating with Buffaloes cheerleaders. Other trolls thought she didn’t seem all that content at the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
In an eight-minute video posted on her TikTok, Leanna Lenee addressed those accusations as well as fan claims that she’s a “gold digger”:
Regarding the viral moment with Hunter and the cheerleaders, Lenee stated that she was upset at security guards for not allowing her onto the field. Here’s what she said about the Heisman ceremony:
“Anyone who knows me knows I support Travis in everything he does because I truly, truly love that man. He is perfect in my eyes.”
Hunter and Leanna Lenee went to high school together and began their relationship in February 2022, the year before he began his tenure at Colorado. They announced their engagement in February of this year.

As a game-changing cornerback and superstar wide receiver, Hunter faces a strong possibility of going first overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. At this phase, it’s hard to envision him going any later than third overall.

Travis Hunter has been in the news for many negative reasons this week. But it’s hardly a secret that he’s a great kid, so there had to be some good stuff coming out of somewhere.
Hunter, now the 90th Heisman Trophy winner, is one of the most popular players in college sports, yet he is as humble as they come and is just as generous.
According to Deion Sanders Jr., the star defensive back pays 10-15 NIL salaries at Colorado out of his own pocket and doesn’t take any money from the collective.
“You know he receives no NIL money from the collective?” Sanders Jr. revealed during an appearance on the ‘Zero 2 Sixty’ podcast. “And you know he’s one of the biggest donors to the collective? Meaning he’s paying a lot of other players’ NIL on this team… He’s paying at least 10-15 guys on the team. That’s his own money.”
