NFL fans had all sorts of priceless reactions on a clip of New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers talking about butterflies while high on the Ayahuasca psychoactive beverage.

Netflix produced a new documentary, Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, that details how he recovered from a season-ending Achilles tear that he suffered minutes into his Jets debut. In the documentary, we see a completely different side of Rodgers while he’s under the influence of psychedelics.

A clip from the documentary has quickly gone viral, where an extremely high Rodgers talks about butterflies and caterpillars. Rodgers adds, “I get to fly around…I get to smell flowers and eat flowers.”

Social media did not disappoint with their responses to this viral clip of the four-time MVP:

“Imaging coming down from this feeling and realizing you’re on the Jets,” one fan joked.

“Oh so those “dark places” were just him thinking he was a caterpillar in a cocoon?,” asked another.

“That documentary showed how much he is misunderstood in the media. I like him more now that it all made sense,” a fan quipped.

“As a packer fan, he was fun for the first 14 years, then became an annoyance,” wrote another.

It’s been a tough season for Aaron Rodgers and the Jets, who enter Week 16 with a disappointing 4-10 record. A blockbuster trade for Las Vegas Raiders superstar Davante Adams wasn’t enough to fix a struggling offense, nor did the questionable firing of head coach Robert Saleh after Week 5 yield any new results.

Aaron Rodgers has made a statement on his past relationships that suggests he’s probably regretful.

The New York Jets quarterback has dated some famous women since making the step up to the NFL but apparently did not enjoy the scrutiny that came with the territory.

Rodgers dated actress Olivia Munn from 2014 to 2017, then hooked up with former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick before starting a relationship with another actress, Shailene Woodley.

Aaron and Woodley made it as far as engagement but eventually called things off.

While Rodgers might not have hated the actual relationships, he did not enjoy all the eyes they came with.
