He revealed that he had come close to buying the Dream before being derailed by a major challenge. Howard’s former agent, whom he accused of robbing him, took $7 million from him.

“$7 million… It was a part of my agent. That one hurt. What was my mental state? My mental was that I wanted to find him and beat the hell out of him. Like, I wanted to kill him. It was like a group of people that was all in it together. My plan that I had was I was looking to buy the Atlanta Dream. The basketball team for women,” Howard said.

“So I was like, man, I wanna really do this ’cause I got two daughters. One day they’re gonna wanna play basketball. I can set it up to where they can play for the Atlanta Dream one day when they get older,” he added.

Dwight Howard Reflects on His Dashed Dream of a Wrestling Match

Dwight Howard recently opened up about another dream that didn’t come to fruition. The former Los Angeles Lakers player had once been enthusiastic about the idea of participating in a wrestling match. He even discussed it with wrestling icon Ric Flair.

However, Howard’s plans were eventually put on hold due to the physical demands of wrestling. In an interview with TMZ Sports, Howard, who recently weighed on his NBA retirement, shared his grief.

I was talking to Ric Flair. He said I don’t know if my knees are good for wrestling. My knees feel good; it’s just wrestling. Your talking about picking up 300-pound dudes and all that stuff. Nobody wants to do that for their whole life!” Howard said.

Despite his interest and enthusiasm, Howard also had to admit defeat this time due to his bad luck.
