Unlike what other coaches in the league might think, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has never seen the presence of Taylor Swift as a distraction as her relationship with Travis Kelce goes on.

At football games, Travis Kelce is the star of the show, while at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows, she runs it all, and Kelce is just happy to be there, according to Andy Reid.

In an interview with The Athletic’s Scoop City podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs coach spoke on tight end spending a good chunk of his offseason traveling the world with his superstar girlfriend as she continues on her tour. “I think there’s a great escape for him,” Reid told hosts Dianna Russini and former NFL QB Chase Daniel.

Reid also had a funny moment when explaining both of them showing up for each other at their job, stating Travis Kelce is the “supportive water boy” for Taylor Swift at concerts.

“I think he probably loves it, to a point. I think it’s a great escape for him. I said that for Taylor, too, she comes to the game and can kinda escape having to be the show. And Travis can do that, and when he goes to her concerts, she’s the star, and he can be hanging out there and be the supportive water boy.”

As the leader of the back-to-back Super Bowl champs, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid has seen it all. Taylor Swift’s extra attention to gams was just yet another thing he had to navigate in what was a weird season that appeared to be headed for an early playoff exit but ultimately ended with the Chiefs winning it all.

When it comes to the increase in public attention Kelce has faced since he started dating Swift last year, Reid said, “I think it’s great for him.”

“It depends on the people involved. She gets all that. He’s kind of grown into it.”

Reid has never had a negative thing to say about Swift or even brushed off questions during the 2023 season, and it likely had a lot to do with the team playing so much better with her in attendance.

Taylor Swift Had a Positive Overall Record When Attending Chiefs Games

Taylor Swift brought good luck to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2023.

Swift went to 13 of Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs football games last season, first showing up at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 24, 2023.

The team won 10 of the 13 games, and that includes all playoff games and the Super Bowl.

New Study Reveals Which NFL Team Has The “Happiest” Fans, And Which Are The Saddest

An interesting new study reveals that a top heavyweight in the AFC has the “happiest” group of NFL fans.

No group of NFL fans had it better than the Pittsburgh Steelers’ supporters during the 1970s. In the ’80s, it was the San Francisco 49ers. The Dallas Cowboys’ fanbase was spoiled more than any other in the ’90s, followed by the New England Patriots’ faithful during the 21st century (specifically from 2001 to 2018).

But while those fanbases continue to celebrate their past success, a new study reveals that the NFL’s model franchise has the “happiest” fans right now. That team, of course, would be Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs.

Casino.org used a new survey and multiple pieces of data to determine which NFL teams had the happiest fanbase. Unsurprisingly, Kansas City’s fanbase claimed the top spot in their study.

Quite frankly, there’s no comparing the moods of any other NFL fans to the Chiefs right now. Since Mahomes took over as the starting QB in 2018, Kansas City has played in six straight AFC Championship Games and four Super Bowls — winning three of them.

Since 2018, the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers are the only other NFL teams to play in multiple Super Bowls. The Rams went 1-for-2, and the 49ers lost both to the Mahomes and Travis Kelce-led Chiefs.

Throw in Kelce’s relationship with one of the world’s most beloved singers in Taylor Swift, and it just feels like the Chiefs have it all. No group of NFL fans has had it this good since the Patriots in their last dynastic run.

No One Can Challenge The Chiefs As The Happiest NFL Fans

Even if you look outside of the NFL, you can’t realistically look at any group of NBA, MLB and NHL fans and compare them to the happiness of the Chiefs’ fanbase.

The Golden State Warriors’ dynasty is in the rearview mirror. The Pittsburgh Penguins, the NHL’s last dynasty, haven’t won it all since 2017. The San Francisco Giants of MLB are the last team to achieve dynastic status, and their most recent title parade was 10 years ago.
