During an interview on The Rich Eisen Show on September 3, Kelce discussed how Swift has taken an interest in football strategy, specifically the X’s and O’s, verifying Mahomes’ earlier comments.

“She had just been so open to learning the game, she didn’t know much about the rules or anything…I think she was just curious about the profession,” Kelce said.

Mahomes had first shared this tidbit during an interview with NBC’s Chris Simms on August 29, explaining that Swift isn’t just a spectator, but genuinely engaged in learning about the sport. According to Mahomes, it’s been fun to watch Swift’s growing involvement.

“Meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and cool she is… that’s been special to me, because like you said [she’s] the most famous person in the world,” Mahomes said.
