Taylor Swift has not attended either of the Kansas City Chiefs‘ past two games, and that has sparked significant speculation that her romance with star tight end Travis Kelce has cooled in recent weeks. Amid Kelce‘s best performance of the season to date on Sunday, some are even saying that he “doesn’t need” Swift to rediscover his best form.
However, with Swift’s camp telling TMZ that she remains as committed as ever to Kelce, the conversation is now centered on solidifying the bonds that tie Swift to Kelce as well as the Mahomes family — especially her “bestie” Brittany Mahomes.
Ever the vigilant social media watcher and poster, Brittany’s “best pups” gained some Instagram fame after their “mom” adorned them with friendship bracelet-style dog collars. The Mahomes family dogs, Silver and Steel, were being watched by a local kennel while Brittany attended the Chiefs‘ win over the Los Angeles Chargers in California on Sunday — but the social media post made clear that Swift is never far from the Mahomes family’s minds.
The friendship bracelets have become an essential accessory for Swifties worldwide, and they have become synonymous with the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter — who resumes her globe-spanning Eras Tour later this month. The imminent return to touring has been cited as the reason why Swift did not watch Kelce in person against the Chargers and the Atlanta Falcons — although it is possible she reunites with Brittany next Monday, when the Chiefs host the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium.
