Haliey Welch, well known as the “Hawk Tuah” girl on the internet, is now utilizing her “15 minutes of fame” to help animals in need. On July 12, 2024, Welch shared a video of herself on Instagram buying a ton of pet supplies from PetSmart. These include toys and food which had the intention of donating to a nearby animal shelter.

Although Haliey Welch aka the Hawk Tuah girl, gained popularity for an explicit interview, she looks determined to use the fame to do good in the world. Since becoming well-known on the internet in June, Haliey has made the most of her opportunities to be in the spotlight.

With the introduction of her signature line of goods and many appearances in music and sports videos, Hailey Welch is trying to make the most of her fifteen minutes of fame.

To do the same, Welch recently displayed her altruistic side in an Instagram video. In the video, she could be seen feeding the animals of an animal shelter and inspiring her followers to contribute to the worthy cause.

She also wrote in the caption:

“If I only have 15 minutes of fame then I’m going to spend every last minute of it doing the right thing. Let’s try and find a home for these sweet lil cats & dogs. Please head over to @mjasvolunteerorganization to get started!”

In the same video, she shared:

“Everyone in the comments said how I have 15 minutes of fame. And if that’s the case, then I’m going to spend it doing something good.”

In the Instagram post, with Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 serving as the soundtrack, Hailey could be seen visiting a nearby grocery to restock on animal feed. After that, she left the store and went to Mt. Juliet Animal Care & Control Center to give the food to the dogs and cats that needed them. While doing so, she shared:

“Now if you’d asked me about a month ago, I couldn’t afford that.”

In the video, she even called Blondie, a dog who had been at the shelter for 130 days, and while playing with her, she urged her fans and followers to adopt her and the other animals in need of a good home.

Previously, when the Hawk Tuah girl initially became famous, she received tons of hate comments from people who believed that her popularity was baseless and that it wouldn’t even last 15 minutes.

Furthermore, on July 9, 2024, netizens debated about her online fame after she revealed that she had received over a million followers on her official Instagram account.

Following that, netizens expressed their displeasure on her official account, pointing out that she gained popularity by making explicit remarks in the street interview.

However, after she uploaded the recent Instagram video, netizens couldn’t help but praise her for what she did. After seeing her video, many shared the same thoughts, stating that the right person became famous thanks to the internet.
