Shannon Sharpe is back in the headlines after his recent controversial Instagram Live. Just 24 hours after his return, he was reminded of his accidental live session by fellow ESPN analyst Domonique Foxworth, who mocked Sharpe on air during Tuesday’s episode.
After Sharpe’s appearance on ESPN’s First Take the previous Wednesday, he accidentally went live on Instagram. Although there were no visuals, the explicit sounds implied that the ESPN analyst was engaged in a private activity. Once the incident passed and everyone resumed their regular routines, Foxworth had some jokes left to share.
During a conversation about the Carolina Panthers, Sharpe argued that he could play for the team if his hips held up. In immediate retort, Foxworth made a comment that got a chuckle out of Sharpe.

Besides the two, Stephen A. Smith was also present for the discussion. Although Foxworth did not receive any further reaction to his joke, Smith had already expressed his feelings on the subject in another YouTube video on his channel. The ESPN analyst stood by Sharpe’s side, arguing that he did nothing wrong. He also vouched for Sharpe’s ineptness with technology, having witnessed it himself.
The internet also buzzed about Shannon Sharpe’s future with the media network. While ESPN has fired people for far less, sports fans raised their concerns on the matter. In the aforementioned video, Stephen A. Smith came forward to clear the air. ESPN decided not to take any disciplinary action against the sports commentator, and Sharpe’s multi-year extension from last June still remains in effect.
