DR. Jennifer Ashton officially stepped down from her role as ABC News’ chief medical correspondent on Thursday, June 27.

The former Good Morning America star shared a few snaps on her Instagram to commemorate the occasion, while her former co-stars posted a heartwarming tribute on X.

The first of several photos and videos was a fun post featuring Dr. Jen – wearing a black cowboy hat – and her GMA3 co-host, broadcaster DeMarco Morgan.

The duo are seen dancing to Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter single, Texas Hold ‘Em, a fitting tribute to the doctor dubbed “the Beyoncé of medicine” by fellow ABC News medical correspondent Dr. Darien Sutton.

“Definitely on our highlight reel: This is NOT goodbye but just a shout out to say that in a short period of time, we’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve learned… and we’ve danced!” she captioned the post.

“Thank you for being a great co-host and a kind-hearted soul… from our medical questions to our fashion chats, I love you @demarcomorgan,”  she wrote, adding: “#worksister and #goodbyetour.”

Dr. Jen then posted a few Instagram Stories, featuring behind-the-scenes photos of her last day on set.

“Our Bomb/security dog Haley came to my dressing room to say ‘goodbye’,” she wrote.

Wearing her signature white blazer and flashing a smile for the camera, Dr. Jen then posted a selfie of herself beaming alongside GMA3’s crew members.

“Squad @goodmorningamerica,” she wrote.

Not to be outdone, Good Morning America also shared an emotional video tribute in honor of Dr. Jen’s last day on X.

“We are celebrating and saying so long to our beloved colleague and friend Dr. Jen Ashton,” GMA tweeted.

“Thank you for all that you’ve done. You will be so missed and you will always be a part of our @GMA family!”

The video featured dozens of people, from Dr. Jen’s GMA crew and co-hosts to journalists, fellow doctors, and even a few celebs.

“I’m convinced that there are three of you because I have no idea how you do it all,” said Dr. Alok Patel, kicking off the tribute.

Eric Strauss, Dr. John Brownstein, Youri Benadjaoud, John Mudgett, Dr. Navjot Sobti, Dr. Adjoa Smalls-Mantey, Dr. Jade Cobern, Sony Salzman, and Dr. Alexis Carrington all shared tidbits of what Dr. Jen meant to them, and how her mentorship, support, and guidance inspired them.

“This isn’t a goodbye, this is a see you soon,” said Dr. Eden David.

Good Morning America then posted a montage of Dr. Jen’s most infamous moments over the last 13 years, with co-hosts Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts applauding her ability to break down complex information into digestible, understandable and useful tidbits for their viewers.

“Hi Jen, Chris here, just want to say good luck, congratulations on your next venture,” said actor Chris Hemsworth, who Dr. Jen worked with on a health and fitness segment.

“Lots of love, hope to see you soon,” he added, signing off with a thumbs up and a smile.

After Dr. Jen’s family and friends joined her on the GMA stage – complete with flowers, balloons and a cake, she signed off for the last time.

“Thanks to all the viewers who have put such incredible comments on my Instagram in the last couple of days,” Dr. Jen said.

“You’re the reason that I do what I do and I wake up in the morning,” she added, wiping away tears.
