In yet more bad news for Vice President Kamala Harris, a poll out of Wisconsin, a generally blue state that seems up for grabs in this election, and conducted by Emerson College and The Hill hold shockingly bad results for the Harris-Walz Campaign that could indicate that former President Donald Trump is picking up steam in the state.

In fact, the study of voters in the state found that former President Trump is not only keeping the state competitive but is actually currently winning in the state. According the polling from Emerson College and The Hill, former President Trump is currently up by a point, winning just a smidge over half the vote. He currently holds 50 percent compared to Harris’s 49 percent.

While a small difference of one point is generally not a huge deal, it does show a trend of deteriorating polling for Vice President Harris as her honeymoon phase as candidate draws to a close and more and more media attention is paid to the antics of her and the many controversies of her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

In fact, the recent polling represents something of a noticeable change for Harris and a major change for the Democratic Party generally. In the same Emerson College poll taken before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, VP Harris was ahead of former President Donald Trump by one percentage point, meaning that she has fallen two points for the tide to turn a point in Trump’s favor.

Yet worse for Harris, past Emerson College polling has shown the Democrats having a tremendous advantage in polling and closer results at the ballot box. In 2020, for example, the poll gave then-former VP Joe Biden an eight percentage point lead in the race, one that ended in the ballot box with less than a percentage point in Biden’s favor. If the same trend holds this time, that means Trump is up tremendously, though it remains to be seen if the polling has gotten more accurate.

Former President Trump has kept up the pressure on Harris as he pushes ahead in the polls. Particularly, he has been holding her feet to the fire over the illegal immigration situation, one on which the Biden-Harris Administration has taken a great deal of flak, particularly given the recent news on crimes committed by illegal immigrants.

Posting on Truth Social about Harris and migrant crime, former President Trump said, “Comrade Kamala Harris, who allowed almost 14,000 MURDERERS to freely and openly roam our Country, is now making a Speech in Douglas, Arizona, trying to say she did an OK job with the Border. She didn’t! She is the Worst Vice President in History, and the Worst Border Czar in History, and people are dying every day because of her. SHE HAS GOT BLOOD ON HER HANDS!”

Trump has also torched Vice President Harris over the state of the American economy, which was hit hard by inflation under the Biden-Harris Administration and has recently seen a spate of corporate bankruptcies and layoffs.
